Our boys are officially out of school for Thanksgiving, and there is such an excitement at our house for this fun holiday week! It couldn’t come a minutes too soon! I am ready for a break. I’m not sure if I am going to be doing any early morning shopping on black Friday, but I’ll probably do some “I slept in and hoped to miss the crowds, do you have anything good left,” shopping….I hate to admit it, but I am a shopping lightweight.

I love the week of a holiday, it just seems like everything is better in those weeks. Maybe it’s because I am looking forward so much to just being with my family on Thursday. We are doing something a little off from our tradition. We will be heading to a hotel to their Thanksgiving buffet. I’ve heard good things and always wanted to do it, so this is the year. Only two more days to go!!
Plaid has been all over this fall, which is good news because it is an easy and versatile trend. One of my favorite ways to wear a plaid is dressed up. This is what I wore to church today. For me, plaid has never gone out of style, but I am especially glad that it is back with bang this year and in nearly every store I go in. There are so many fun patterns to choose from that I am far from done adding plaid pieces to my wardrobe!
I am officially ready to let the holiday season begin! For me it can’t start until my friend Kristen and I hit The Nutcracker. Tonight we braved a crazy wind storm to get to our traditional (6 years now) Nutcracker date. We always go to the same great restaurant and order the same food and then head to the performance. It truly is one of my favorite traditions! Bring on the holiday season!!
